Here’s what a day here might look like

Of course, there’s a million things to do here. Here’s just a few ideas

Breakfast

in the morning take a walk to the beach, wear your bathing suit and bring a towel.  Doc’s is a great little place right on the beach.  Go to the take out window and order some breakfast and take a seat at one of the tables that’s right on the beach.  The staff will let you know your food ready and enjoy the beautiful ocean breeze and water having breakfast.  After breakfast explore the beach, pick up a few shells and find a nice place to relax.  If you’re a beach person the water is great, take a dip and enjoy a little sun.  When you’re good and ready take a stroll back to the condo or call our free private shuttle and catch a ride back.

Breakfast tip: don’t forget your towel!

Family Travel

Lots of great food and fun beach stores.

Lunch

When it’s time for lunch head over to the Fish House, it’s on the left side as you walk to the beach. I’m going on the record as saying the best Fish Sandwich in Southwest Florida. You can sit at the bar and watch the big screen TVs or head out back and sit on the canal. In the afternoon there are several shops and fun places you can walk to. There are beach stores with all kinds of beach related items, a miniature golf course, cigar store, and Wine shop, great new high end motor cycle shop that’s quite eclectic and fun, clothing knick knack store and much more.

Late afternoon

By late afternoon it time to head back to Doc’s at the beach.  Pack a bottle of wine, some cheese and crackers or whatever you fancy in the cooler we keep in the guest closet and sit back relax and watch the sunset.  On any given night the sunset will draw a crowd.  There are several great places for dinner within walking distance.  I’ll offer two of our favorites the first is Table Apart, great food, a little expensive but you won’t be disappointed. The second is a new Italian take out place that just opened called Pete’s.  Nothing on the menu is more than $12 and the food is fantastic.

Wildlife tourism and sustainable travel

A night on the town!

After dinner

For a fun night out after dinner there’s two stops you have to make.  The first is the island bar (the little colorful shack I’m sure you have noticed just across the street a bit from the condo).  You’ll enjoy just relaxing sitting inside or out having a few beers and meeting some new people.  A little later in the evening a few blocks east is a little bigger place called Sneaky Pete’s.  You feel like you’re in a tropical bar, they have live music every night and the owners Pete and Joe are great guys who will greet you at some point during the evening.  I’ll assure you you’ll be back to Sneaky Pete’s before you leave.
